Alan Silvestri’s iconic score to be brought to life by 39-piece orchestra in London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Gateshead
The iconic 1985 film Back to the Future is the latest cult classic to be adapted for a live audience. Special screenings of the film with accompanying music from The Czech National Symphony Orchestra will tour the UK next April. Presale tickets for the show are available from 10am on Thu 25 Oct. General sale tickets go on sale at 10am on Fri 26 Oct.
Fans of the classic Hollywood blockbuster are invited to experience the movie on the big screen like never before. The 39-piece orchestra will play the soundtrack in sync with the film, bringing award-winning composer Alan Silvestri’s iconic score to life. To enhance the performances Silvestri has added 20 minutes of brand new music to the film’s score which will be played each night.
The much-loved sci-fi flick has become ingrained in popular culture thanks to legendary characters Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). The film details the adventures of Marty as he is flung back in time to 1955 by a time machine constructed from a DeLorean.
The Back to the Future In Concert tour kicks off on Fri 13 Apr with a show at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The orchestra will then head to Birming, Nottingham, Manchester and Liverpool before a final performance on Sat 21 Apr at Sage in Gateshead.
